Alto-Hartley was established in 1955 as a food service equipment dealer supplying equipment tot he Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Through the early years Alto developed into the preeminent dealership as the market grew.

Currently we remain the most competitive food service equipment company in the region. Alto is unique in that the Project Manager is involved in your project from start to finish. This includes specifying equipment, estimating, purchasing through installation of your project. This permits to become intimate with your needs and preferences and provides a single point of contact for any questions or issues that may arise as the project progresses.

We have completed many projects ranging from $100,000 to $2.5 million and are extremely active in pursuing negotiated projects. One of our strengths is our national network of custom stainless steel fabricators, warehouses, and installers which provides us the ability to successfully complete projects anywhere in the country.
